Profile Of The Programme
The stockbreeding of our country shows a rapid development in parallel with the developments in other fields and therefore the traditional and local breeding units are replaced by modern livestock units with larger capacity. While a large number of computerized farms are established in cattle breeding, integrated institutions in the poultry sector concentrate on broadcasting technical and field services. Again, as a result of cultural development, the number of domestic and pet animals is increasing rapidly. In addition, the need for technical personnel is increasing in veterinary clinics and dog-cat boarding, training and breeding units. In addition to this, the fact that feed mills have gradually switched to scientific and technological production has increased the need for both laboratory and technical field personnel in the feed industry and it has become difficult to provide these elements.

The aim of the Laborant and Veterinary Health Associate Degree Program is to train intermediate staff with the knowledge and equipment to assist veterinarians in laboratory practices, animal care, food safety and reliability, and animal feeding and breeding in the field of veterinary medicine
