Profile Of The Programme
The stockbreeding of our country shows a rapid development in parallel with the developments in other fields and therefore the traditional and local breeding units are replaced by modern livestock units with larger capacity. While a large number of computerized farms are established in cattle breeding, integrated institutions in the poultry sector concentrate on broadcasting technical and field services. Again, as a result of cultural development, the number of domestic and pet animals is increasing rapidly. In addition, the need for technical personnel is increasing in veterinary clinics and dog-cat boarding, training and breeding units. In addition to this, the fact that feed mills have gradually switched to scientific and technological production has increased the need for both laboratory and technical field personnel in the feed industry and it has become difficult to provide these elements.
Educational Objectives Of The Programme
1. To train qualified veterinary health technicians equipped with fundamental knowledge and skills in animal health, specialized in laboratory practices, and capable of working effectively in the field.
2. To educate professionals who adhere to professional ethics and deontology, prioritizing animal welfare and human health.
3. To provide practical education supported by a strong theoretical foundation in areas such as animal health and diseases, laboratory analyses, vaccination procedures, first aid, and animal care.
Program Goals
1. To promote scientific research and critical thinking.
2. To train mid-level professionals equipped with technical knowledge in animal husbandry and health.
3. To provide students with opportunities to pursue a bachelor’s degree.
