The Program has started educational activities in 2012-2013 academic year.
Qualification Awarded
Students who successfully graduate from the theoretical, practical and laboratory courses in this program are given “Associate Degree Diploma”.

Specific Admission Requirements
Students who have a score of 150 or higher in YTY score from Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS) conducted by Measurement, Selection and Placement Center (OSYM) are placed in the program according to their preference. If the candidates graduated from Horiculture, Food Technology, Animal Health, Animal Production and Agriculture Technologies areas prefer the Dairy and Livestock Programme, additional points will be applied by OSYM.
Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal And Informal)
Exemption exams are held at the beginning of each academic year for the "Foreign Language" and "Computer" courses in the curriculum. Students who pass the exam are exempted from these courses.

Being a high school graduate.
Profile Of The Programme
The aim of this program is to educate qualified technical staff who have sufficient knowledge needed in marketing of products obtained with care and nutrition by use of technical methods of cattle and sheep animals raising for milk and meat production in animal farms.
Educational Objectives Of The Programme
The aim of the Ege University Dairy and Livestock Programme is to educate the experts who serves to the society by using the knowledge and ability accoring to the technological developments in animal production, and supporting to the scientific development and spreading in Turkey and in the world, and takes the effective role in all area of the animal science in the level of national or international animal production by endowed with adequate knowledge, skills, and also professional and ethic responsibility.

Access To Further Studies
At the end of the two-year education, students can continue their undergraduate education through Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS) conducted by Measurement, Selection and Placement Center (OSYM). Undergraduate programs that can be transferred are: Biology, Animal Production, Milk Technology, Agricultural Biotechnology, Veterinary, Zootechny.
Examination Regulations, Assessment And Grading
Exams are administered according to ‘Ege University Guidelines for Assessment and Evaluation ’ are mid-term exams, final exams and make-up exams for each course. These exams are written, oral, practical and laboratory exams in accordance with the course content. There is no "Summer School" in our school.
Graduation Requirements
In order to graduate from the programme, the student must successfully complete all the courses available, obtain a grade point average of 2.00 out of 4.00 and successfully complete a 30-day professional internship.

Facilities
Two lecturers are employed in this program. In order to enable students to make applications, there is a pilot animal breeding facilities and feed analysis laboratory.
